You will need:
- Unfinished wooden key plaque
- Polyurethane
- Wood stain
- Cardboard
- Acrylic paints
- Foam brush
- White glue

1. Sand wood with a fine grit sandpaper and wipe off any dust
2. Tape on background design and stencil with polyurethane
3. Apply wood stain with a foam brush and wipe off with soft cloth
4. Apply two coats of polyurethane
5. Cut a piece of cardboard for the nameplate and paint with metallic paint
6. Cut a second piece of cardboard slightly bigger and paint black
7. Cut a piece of foam core slightly smaller and paint the edges black
8. Stencil name or monogram on metallic painted cardboard
9. Sandwich the foam core between the two pieces of cardboard and glue
10. Center the finished nameplate on plaque and glue
